So much is going on right here, right now, in the world. One of the biggest challenges we are facing today is “uncertainty.” Why? We are on the brink of the second renaissance! The snowball of AI and Robotics is just starting. ChatGPT, Bard, and Bing are just the tip of the iceberg. Up to 70% of jobs we know today will be gone by the decade’s end. Wow. What does that mean for leaders, employees, and people’s personal lives? Skills that are critical to learning today to be successful will be “soft skills.” Leadership used to be about muscle. Today it’s about the brain. Moving forward, it’s about self-awareness.
As I see it, three problems are faced by leaders today and into the future:
Leaders must resolve uncertainty in the wake of colliding waves of chaos and order.
Leaders must lead within their enterprise and across multiple systems, such as politics, social settings, and the wider community.
Leaders must resolve people problems.
